5 Sex Mistakes: Why Being Fat Sucks!

Being overweight or obese comes with loads of disadvantages as your health can suffer greatly. Your muscles are not visible anymore as they are well hidden under the layers of fat. You don’t feel as strong as you used to and you could even start feeling depressed when you realize, you’re no longer the fit stud you used to be.

However, being overweight comes with a much longer list of disadvantages than this.

Did you know that your sex life could be seriously affected if you let yourself go and not take action against those extra pounds? And by this we don’t just mean you start feeling less attractive and lose the confidence to make a move on someone you might fancy. We’re talking about a whole list of issues, including erectile dysfunction, lack of sexual stamina or lack of libido.

Here are 5 ways of how being overweight or obese can affect your sex life:

1. Impotence

It has been scientifically proven that obese men are much likelier to suffer from impotency or erectile dysfunction than men with a balanced, healthy lifestyle. Being obese means that you will suffer from high cholesterol, hypertension or even diabetes.

All these problems cause the blood not to flow properly to all parts of the body, the penis included, which ultimately leads to issues getting it up.

2. Obesity-related Conditions Affect Sex

Men who carry a lot of weight around, especially in the belly area, are likely to suffer from different diseases that can affect their sex lives in different ways. Heart disease, hypertension, diabetes and depression are very common amongst obese people and they can all affect your sexual performance. For example, the medicines you might take to treat your heart condition, high blood pressure or depression can come with awful side effects like impotence, decreased libido or delayed ejaculation.

3. Buried Penis Syndrome

Obese men risk a smaller looking penis as it is being hidden under layers and layers of abdominal fat and skin. In some cases, it may even look ‘buried’ and this can seriously affect your sex life. Women don’t want to have to go looking for your penis, it kind of spoils the mood. Not to mention a serious blow to your self-confidence.

Bear in mind though that ‘buried penis’ is not the same as ‘micropenis’, the condition in men where an erect penis measures less than 3 inches. Poor guys.

4. Sex Position Restrictions

Unfortunately, obese people cannot often enjoy their sex life as much as they should. Most positions become incredibly hard if not impossible to have sex in. If you are a heavy man, you can cross the missionary position off of your list as your partner will not be able to move at all or support your weight. If your partner is also overweight or obese most positions become a challenge. It can be pretty difficult to ‘make the connection’, if you know what I’m saying, when there’s a whole load of fat in the way. That’s a mission itself to say the least. Even spooning, both lying on their sides, can be a very difficult thing for obese people. As you can see, excess fat can seriously limit your ability to go through the Karma Sutra successfully.

5. Low Libido

Overweight or obese people have been known to have lower testosterone levels and hormonal imbalances. This means it can be more difficult to get turned on or if you do manage, keeping it up becomes a task and a half. Not exactly wowing the ladies huh? It has been scientifically proven women are more attracted to men with high testosterone levels. Testosterone is certainly not something you want to lose, weight on the other hand…
