  1. My Dad Wrote A Porno: Live

Hear the hilarious My Dad Wrote A Porno live as the team behind the smash hit podcast to The Hexagon this week.

What would you do if your dad wrote a dirty book? Ignore it? Not Jamie Morton. He reads it to the world. Along with his best mates James Cooper and Radio 1’s Alice Levine, Jamie reads a ‘Lost Chapter’ from his dad’s notoriously brilliant Belinda Blinked saga.

2. Beverly Shrill/Doops and DJs

Saturday 9th June from 8pm at the Oakford Social Club opposite Reading Station. Free Entry, 18+

Beverly Shrills will be soothing the soul and taking control of the Oakford this Saturday with their multi-layered party roadshow taking cues from the likes of LCD Soundsystem, The Flaming Lips and an ever-lasting platter of life.

They will be sharing the stage with Doops and the Dance Yourself Clean DJs who’ll spinning the tunes until 2am.

3. Joesph Morpurgo: Hammerhead

Friday 8th June from 8pm at South Street Arts Centre. Tickets are available from here

Joseph Morpurgo presents his masterpiece: a boundary-smashing adaption of Mary Shelley’s Frankenstein. Or is it?

Outlandishly funny multimedia comedy and new voodoo from the distinguished mind of the 2015 Edinburgh Comedy Award nominee, three-time 2016 Chortle Award winner and BBC Radio Four star Joseph Morpurgo, featuring surreal set-pieces, vivid comic writing, subliminal pulse signals — and monsters.

4. Plank/Eat Daddy Eat/NASDAQ

Thursday 7th June from 8pm at The Face Bar in Ambrose Place on Chatham Street. First band on stage at 8.15pm, £6 entry on the door.

If you’re looking for some heavy metal melodies and jams on Thursday night, then The Face Bar is the place to be.

The musical roster in session on Thursday night includes ‘Plank’ who’ll be bringing math jams from Manchester, hometown outfit ‘Eat Daddy Eat’ and some superhuman heavy metal instrument sounds from the north provided by NASDAQ and friends.

5. Wild Weather Meet The Brewer

Thursday 7th June from 6pm at Brewdog Reading on Castle Street.

The lads from Wild Weather Ales in town at Brewdog Reading for full on Meet the Brewer/Tap Takeover madness.

Eight beers from one of Berkshire’s most exciting young microbreweries including some mega new stuff. This one is going to be cray-cray busy so make sure you get down early to grab a seat and hear all about the beers!
