Well this is both true and untrue. I agree with a lot of the comments but I think the point you are trying to make is “know your limits.” I wanted to be a neurologist as a kid but I was atrocious at math and science, and no matter how much time I gave it, I didn’t get better. I also have a passion for painting, writing, piano, and dance, none of which I am good at. I took dance for 15 years, and barely improved. Sure, I could give all of these passions enough effort and time to eventually be good at them, but without any natural inclination, I would kill myself doing it, and by that time, I might hate them. So it’s about finding the balance between passion and skill.
