This was lovely. I remember being at a conference a couple of years ago during which many, many people extolled the virutes of meditation. I found myself very intimidated until someone, very much like you have here, said, “You’ll find your mind wanders frequently, that’s ok. Just gently reset yourself as many times as you have to.” It meant so much to know that my mind wasn’t somehow lazy. I need to add a bit more ritual to my life. I’m not sure how that will manifest, but your words are a needed push.
