Why It Gotta Be Snapchat?

We’re faced with a question: “Why does it have to be Snapchat?”

It’s been on our minds since Facebook’s March launch of Messenger Day, an ephemeral photo-sharing option within the social network’s Messenger app. It’s the latest chapter in the saga of what seems like Facebook’s obsession with unseating — or, at least, emulating — Snapchat, going back to its failed attempt to purchase the disappearing social media story.

But there’s a lot beneath the surface here — and a lot to discuss. Social media experts Marissa Emanuele, Chelsea Hunersen, and Chris Wilson joined me in the studio to talk out…and things got real.
