Fabulous Day 15

15. Have friends in different generations!

Experience is the best teacher, so is inexperience!

You couldn’t wait to become an adult, until you did. Now it’s like you want to be an adult without the responsibilities. It’s not as easy as you thought it would, life can be hard. It wasn’t until I became friends with a 63 year old woman I realized; life can really be fcked up but there’s always a silver lining.

Lesson

Life isn’t simple or easy or black and white. Shit happens, unexpected shit, but experience and time teaches you how to handle it. Being friends with people of different generations opens you up to different ways of thinking and experiences you have yet to go through. They are able to help you navigate through life. You get to learn how to make the best of a situation, especially from someone that has been through a lot of pain.

I remember being shocked when I met women in their 40’s who have been married 3 or even 4 times. And they all say their last husband was/is the best. It just shows that life doesn’t always go as plan but you roll with the punches. It’s okay to fck up, but you just don’t give up.

Just as people older can teach you something, so can those younger than you. I am a firm believer in holding on to your inner child. Younger people and older people tend to have this mesmerizing optimism about life.
