Your Traditional Christmas Card With A Splash Of Bling!

I was sitting down to do an afternoon of scrapping to escape the Brisbane heat. After realising there are only 5 more weekends until Christmas, I thought it would be the perfect time to go through my scraps from the past year and throw together a few simple Christmas Cards for family and friends!

Tired of the same old boring cards, I was looking through my embellishments, and decided to bring some BLING to the traditional colours.

Using some basic card stock, a few scraps of coloured and patterned sheets, along with a few embellishments (the flower, and the text, and the small gold rhinestones).

I drew some inspiration from a couple of magazines, and just started to layer the paper using different patterns, considering colours and shapes along the way.

Using different adhesives (including thick double sided tape), I was able to create a simple but impressive 3D effect, that really bounces off the front of the card!

While this isn’t necessarily a complicated process, or an intricate design, there’s something nice about being able to throw together a card using just the materials you’ve already got!

Save some money this Christmas, and have a go at making some cards for your family and friends.
