- Iron or hairdryer
- Seam roller
- Vinyl seam sealer (optional)
- Towel (optional)
- Damp rag
- Books
- Utility knife
- Syringe (optional)
- Glue (optional)
- Vinyl adhesive
Procedure For Removing Small Bubbles:
1. Take a sewing needle and puncture the bubbles. Push the trapped air out by pressing the vinyl, and flatten the portion as much as you can.
2. Now lay the towel on the punctured portion of the vinyl. In order to soften the stickiness present under the vinyl, keep a hot iron over the towel. You can also heat the punctured vinyl with the help of a hairdryer.
3. Roll the area with the help of a seam roller. Place heavy books on those areas for about 24 hours until the stickiness dries up.
Procedure For Removing Large Bubbles:
1. Place the towel on the large bubble and keep the hot iron over it in order to soften the sealer.
2. With the utility knife, slice an “x” into the large bubble. Drag each quadrant of the “x” gently in order to access the subfloor beneath.
3. Coat the sub floor with a thin layer of a vinyl adhesive. In order to ensure proper application of the adhesive, go through the instructions printed on it in detail. Press the vinyl into their respective places and join the edges properly.
4. Cover the area with a sheet of wax paper on the portion and keep heavy books on it for at least 24 hours.
5. Remove the wax paper and books. Check the cuts on the vinyl. If they are visible, then try to conceal or rejoin them.
