Why does Yoda Speak Funny?
Here is a marvelous question with an insightfully beautiful answer that I wish to share.

Q: “If be so clever Yoda is speak with words in the proper order then why can’t he?”
A: The reason for Yoda’s incorrect expression of spoken language is subtle, deep, and it’s inextricably intertwined with his very nature.
Yoda is the wise one. He is constantly in contact with the Force. When he needs to interact with the mundane world, he consciously extricates himself from the Force.
The Force, however, is an immanent, all-pervading entity which bestows the best of all mental states upon those who have had the good fortune to stumble upon it.
To leave the Force, to lose contact with it even momentarily, is self-inflicted punishment. It is suffering. And yet Yoda does it out of compassion for all beings.
The nature of the Force can only be truly known by seeking within, not without. Without is the external world. Within is the vast internal one of perpetual bliss. Because of its very nature it has no boundaries; it is infinitely malleable. This is the world of meaning and semantics, which, by nature, is soft. There are no rules there.
Rules are necessary only when you need to interface with the external world. You only need rules to understand something, to explain something, not for knowing it. That’s why there is always a conflict between the “harsh syntax of the without and the soft semantics of the within.”
Whenever possible, Yoda tries to remain with the Force, and even when he interfaces with the ordinary unawoken denizens of the universe, he tries to not completely enter the world of “harsh syntax”.
This, in a way, is also his power for, being in the nexus, he is able to draw on the strength and wisdom of the soft semantics (The Force) when talking to us using makeshift syntax.
To sum up, Yoda speaks just enough syntax to carry the message through to its destination. Why waste effort in leaving the Force completely for simple things?
