Don’t judge me

I’ve walked a different path.
Don’t judge me.
I’ve loved with my true heart.
Don’t judge me.
I’ve let loose my deep passions.
Don’t judge me.
Sometimes I’ve dressed the tart

The birds fly different colors.
They chirp their different songs.
Some savor seeds.
Some seek the worms.
Yet all the birds belong.

I may be at a different place
Than you would want to go.
I live in my own body
Like I could not before,
And now I live my life as me.
That’s all you need to know.

Don’t judge me
for being free.
