I’m a transgender woman. It doesn’t matter that I wasn’t unhappy as a man; what matters is what makes me happier.

I think this is the way I’m feeling, too. But I wouldn’t necessarily say that either of us are “becoming a woman”; we’re realizing that we have been women, all this time, and we’re just now coming to grips with it.
