Starting without them is hard (especially in a culture like mine, where most people are usually late and it’s not a big deal), but I’ve learned it’s something that has to be done. I have to remind myself constantly that time is one of the most valuable things I have. Thank you for writing!
I mostly procrastinate because the task I have to tackle seems too big or scary for me to do. Of the things you listed, going for a short walk works best for me to deal with this. It helps me relax and remind myself I just have to take one step at a time.
The difference each of these strategies makes is amazing. But we tend not to apply it because it seems so small it won’t matter. I fall into that trap very often. I know I should be doing these things but I feel a little lazy and say “oh, it’s okay if I skip it today…” Big mistake! Thank you for this great article!
