Failure in Education

What is currently happening?

Our society is structured in a way where successful people are considered as mentors by many normal people. Someone achieving success is considered as a role model for many who wants to achieve success.

My believe is that failure teaches us either equal or more as to what success teaches us. We can learn more from failures (specially at this stage), as we have not highlighted the importance of learning from failures.

Current education system does not give any weight-age to students who have failed in the exams. When the ranking is released top 5/10 gets the attention and their processes are shared with all other students. This makes our society narrow minded and with a single vision i.e. achieve top ranks or achieve success.

How our education system should be?

We should have incentive for students who fail in the exam. The exams should be structured such that it is very difficult to fail. Once the exams are completed top 5 students (passed) can teach how to achieve success for the exam. At the same time top 5 students (failed) can teach the improvisation for all of the students. We as a society should strive for average number of successful students rather than top 5 successful students.

Have you failed anytime in your life? Have our education system failed you?
