The most diverse cities in the Midwest
Previously, I wrote about some of the most diverse cities in the South. Today, we will explore the Midwest. What are some of the cities that see more diversity in their population?
The state’s second most populous city, Cleveland is home to a diverse group of people with 42.6% Black and 55.1% White, out of which 8.6% is Latino. You can see more on the demographics of Cleveland here.
The Windy City is a diverse and colorful city, home to people of many different backgrounds. On a 10 mile radius, Chicago is 7.6% Asian, 30.4% Black, 62% White, out of which 33.4% is Latino. You can see more interesting data facts on Chicago by clicking here.
Milwaukee is the biggest city in the state of Wisconsin and one of the biggest in all of the Midwest. Known for its breweries, the city is home to a very diverse population, with 31.8% Black, 3.5% Asian, 64.7% White out of which 17.1% is Latino. See more data on Milwaukee here.
The Capital City of Minnesota sees a lot more diversity, with an increase in the Asian population. On a 5 mile radius there are 21.6% Asian, 18.3% Black and 60.1% White, out of which 11.5% is Latino. See more data on this city here.
Kansas City, is the biggest city in Missouri and it is one of the most diverse cities in the Midwest. With a population made of 41.3% Black, 4.8% Asian and 53.9% White, out of which 26.5% are Latino. Check out more data here.
