Problem: Neato App says “App Update Required” but I have the latest version of the app.

Solution: Reset Botvac. This isn’t an issue with the app itself. Follow the instructions in this video to reset your Botvac D3/D4/D5.

Listed Instructions:

  1. Hold the Right Bumper and Start button for 10 seconds.
  2. Turn the Robot back on by pressing the Start button. The battery LED should come on followed by a blinking blue light(info light).
  3. Re-Pair your Botvac with the Neato App

Additional Notes:

  • Last updated November 6th, 2019
  • Running on iOS 13.1. Neato app version 2.9.3.

I try to make these articles as short and concise as possible. I’m not here to give you my life story about how I came across this issue and the long path I took to get to the answer. People have problems and want answers. I try to give them the answers instead of the run-around.
