A Wet, Unsettled Weather Pattern Continues for Alabama
Radar Check: Most of the rain so far this morning has been along and west of I-65 as the rain shield continues to track off to the northeast.
Day Ahead: Another wet day is upon us as an area of low pressure stalls on the Mississippi/Alabama coast today. We will deal with periods of rain throughout the day before the rain begins to taper off tonight. I expect there to be breaks between the rain, but keep in mind the rain will be heavy at times so keep the rain gear handy all day.
Rest of the Week: A few lingering showers are possible tomorrow morning, but any showers will be gone before tomorrow afternoon. The sun could peak out at times, but most of the day will be mostly cloudy with temperatures in the mid 70s. A surface front will move thought the state on Thursday meaning a few showers can’t be ruled out ahead of the front. However, I do expect most of the state to stay dry with temperatures in the low 70s. Friday promises to be a spectacular day with the sun returning to full force. There wont be any chance of rain and temperatures will be near 70.
Halloween Weather: Another system will bring rain back into our state Saturday night into Sunday. For now it looks like we will stay dry during the day on Saturday with mostly cloudy skies. Model output is trending slower suggesting the rain moving in late Saturday night meaning the trick or treaters might get to have their fun before the rain arrives, but it will be a close call. We could deal with a storm or two as well, but there wont be any severe weather.
Have a great day and God bless!
