Active weather pattern shaping up for Alabama; Rain/storms today

Radar Check: A broad coverage of widespread patchy light to moderate rain is falling over much of North/Central Alabama as I type this early this morning. The rain is slowly tracking to the Northeast.

*Alabama’s weather will be unsettled today and the rest of the week as we see another change in the weather pattern. Rain and storms is likely everyday this week, but today and tomorrow should be our two most active weather days with more numerous and widespread showers/storms. It won’t rain continuous each day, but understand the rain and storms will be around and everybody will likely get something. Good news is we will continue to stay in a cooler airmass with lower humidity levels and temperatures in the upper 80s to low 90s each day.

*As you can see coming off the HRRR(High Resolution Rapid Refresh) model, rain and storms will be widespread across North/Central Alabama today.

*I do not expect there to be any organized severe weather this week, but keep in mind that wherever those storms form they will be strong which is nothing unusual for this time of the year.

I hope everyone has a great day and I will have more updates later!
