Snowy/Cold Morning
*Radar Check: Snow showers continue to track southeastward over North/Central Alabama this morning.

Heavier snow showers are over Northeast Alabama where conditions have already deteriorated in some places due to snow on roadways.
*Today: Expect periods of light snow flurries/showers to continue across North/Central Alabama into the evening hours. Again, this is not a high impact event, but there will be some impacts with travel over Northeast Alabama. Everything should begin to die down later tonight. The big story today will be the cold temperatures as everyone in North Alabama will stay below freezing today and tonight.
*Winter Weather Advisory: NWS Huntsville has 3 of their respected counties in a Winter Weather Advisory until 6:00 CST this evening.

This is where the heavier snow showers will take place throughout the day making travel conditions difficult. Some spots in these areas could recieve 1–2 “ of snow before its all over.
*Accumulations: Higher snow accumulations of 1–2 “ will come over Northeast Alabama as mentioned above. Most of you will only see flurries as the day goes on with no accumulations or impacts at all.
*Temperatures: Cold temperatures is the main Alabama weather headline this week as this Arctic blast takes place. Most North Alabama communities will stay below freezing today and tomorrow with temperatures in the low 30s and morning lows in the teens. Be sure to bundle up this week and make sure those pets are warm as well.

Have a great day and God bless!
