Venezuela going Mad-uro

The Venezuelan economy, like a ship kept afloat on a sea of oil during the presidency of Hugo Chavez, has begun to rapidly sink under the leadership of his handpicked successor Nicolas Maduro. Affected negatively by both plummeting oil prices and governmental ineptitude, the country has been wracked by a level of hyperinflation and unemployment that has left Venezuela the worst-performing economy in the world, by far. Though President Maduro is quick to claim conspiracy in the absence of action, many do not buy it, instead placing blame upon on his predecessor’s socialistic aspirations.
