Sports Competitions

Now that you know which sport associations you can join, I want to inform you about the sport events they are participating in.

Royals Cup

Just recently in 2015 some student of the School of Business and Economics decided to organize a sport competition event in Maastricht. It was a huge success, since it is now the biggest sports competition in the south of the Netherlands among international business schools around Europe. The objective is to “Go for the Crown”. At the three-day sports competitions each participating university is represented by its supporters, striving to win the most prestigious Cup of the Games — the ROYALS CUP. But see for yourself!

Champions Trophy

ChampionsTrophy is an event by Bucerius Law School gGmbH taking place in Hamburg, Germany. It is organized by a handful of highly dedicated students, aiming to create the best weekend of your life. Compete at the sports tournament during the day and celebrate your triumphs at night. Show the team spirit of your university and party together with your friends!

When the first WHU Euromasters took place in 1997, there were a few hundred students, a rented football pitch and a party at the WHU’s underground parking. No lack of spirit, fun and energy though! After 18 years of Euromasters, that picture has slightly changed: over 2000 participants from more than 25 European universities and Business Schools — international sponsors and recruiters offering Speed-Datings, a Recruiting Fair and hundreds of informal chats — six sports disciplines held in a huge coliseum and on the Rhine — two epic and unforgettable parties, each bigger and better than those you might have ever been to before! Check out the Cheerleading winning performance in 2014.

So as you can see there are 3 main sports competitions taking place during a study year which give you the opportunity to show what you got!

Stay tuned!
