Today.

Today I am grateful. I am grateful to be alive. I am grateful I am happy and healthy and free to live the life I want.

Today I am blessed. I am blessed to have this life. I am blessed to have a roof over my head, food in my stomach, and a place to call my own each night.

Today I am loved. I am surrounded by love in my life. I am loved by my family and friends and full of love for myself.

Today I am confident. I am confident in the woman I have become. I am confident in the life that I live and my ability to succeed.

Today I am hopeful. I am hopeful for the future. I am hopeful for continued success and a life full of love and happiness.

Today I am privileged. I am privileged to living my life. I am privileged to be living in Manhattan and going to NYU. I am privileged to be white.

Today I am humbled. I am humbled to be a social worker. I am humbled to work with people who have not been granted the opportunities that I have. I am humbled to help.

Today I am proud. I am proud of all that I have accomplished. I am proud of my education and the life I have created. I am proud I survived.

Today I am saddened. I am saddened by the ones I’ve lost. I am saddened to be living a life without them. I am saddened to move on.

Today I am inspired. I am inspired by the men and women around me. I am inspired by their stories and accomplishments and good deeds. I am inspired to inspire other.
