Anichess Mini Game Early Access — All You Need To Know

We are excited to launch the Anichess Mini Game Early Access as an introductory experience to chess with a drop of magic. It is designed to offer an opportunity for our community to start getting familiarized with this new variant and for us to collect feedback as we strive to deliver a fun and engaging experience for all chess lovers and gamers alike. Gameplay

Anichess Mini Game Early Access is similar to the Chess.com puzzle experience, which is enjoyed by millions of players daily. In our variant, players are presented with a library of chess puzzles that require the use of specific spells to solve.

For example, some challenges involve a spell that transforms any friendly piece into a knight for one turn. In such a puzzle, players would likely need to consider knight checkmate patterns or forking tactics.

The Anichess Mini Game Early Access is a limited-time and lite version of the full mini-game experience that will be rolled out to the wider public thereafter. The Early Access experience consists of 36 spell puzzles with different levels of difficulty. Novice-level puzzles suit entry-level players, Adventurer-level puzzles are designed for intermediate players, and Wizardry-level puzzles are for the most advanced players.

Details of the full mini-game experience will be announced in due course but it will include additional game modes and challenges that are not part of the Early Access version.

Rewards

Players who successfully complete the puzzles will earn Orbs of Power, the first set of digital collectibles in the Anichess Universe. Each Orb of Power contains unique magic installed by its creator and holds the power to shape the Universe. Explore the collection on Anichess Shop and Opensea.

Rewards will be based on the number of puzzles solved and will be distributed to players after the conclusion of the Early Access period.:

3 puzzles ➝ Pawn of Water Orb
6 puzzles ➝ Knight of Fire Orb
12 puzzles ➝ Bishop of Storm Orb
36 puzzles ➝ Rook of Earth Orb

Key dates

Registration start date: 17 October, 2023, 11AM HKT

Registration end date: 27 October, 2023, 11AM HKT

Player announcement: 31 October, 2023, 11AM HKT

Early Access start date: 3 November, 2023, 11AM HKT

Available spots: 2,000

Player Selection

The Early Access experience will be open to 2,000 players to ensure stability and adequate support before releasing the full experience to everyone. The 2,000 spots will be drawn from a total pool of tickets based on the below mechanism:

Each player receives 1 ticket upon successful registration. There are two ways to earn additional tickets and increase your chances of being selected:
Referrals: 1 additional ticket for every successful registration completed via your personalized referral link (automatically generated after you successfully register).
Hold Orbs of Power: Own Orbs of Power by October 27, 11:00 HKT. Orbs of Power can be redeemed at the Anichess Shop using Elixir Points or purchased on marketplaces such as OpenSea. Additional tickets will be given based on the following:
Pawn of Water: 1 ticket
Knight of Fire : 3 tickets
Bishop of Storm: 3 tickets
Rook of Earth: 6 tickets

Each Orb can only be counted once. Therefore, the maximum number of tickets that can be earned by holding Orbs is 13 (=1 + 3 + 3 + 6). Owning multiples of the same Orb will NOT earn additional tickets. To qualify, please ensure the Orbs are held in the same account used upon registration.

Registration Bonus

Regardless of whether you are selected for the Early Access campaign, you can earn bonus rewards based on the total number of tickets you collect. Rewards will be distributed at the end of the registration period according to the below:

10 tickets ➝ Pawn of Water
20 tickets ➝ Knight of Fire
30 tickets ➝ Bishop of Storm
50 tickets ➝ Rook of Earth

Bonus rewards are cumulative, meaning if you generate 50 or more successful referrals, you will earn a maximum of four Orbs (1 Pawn, 1 Knight, 1 Bishop, and 1 Rook)

To top it all off, we will reward one Queen of Time to each of the top 10 people with the most tickets.

Note: the registration rewards are granted at the discretion of the Anichess team, focusing on authentic engagement and community contribution.

Registration Results

Login to the Anichess website on October 31, 2023 starting from 11 AM HKT to check whether you have been selected for Early Access. Successful applicants will also receive an official invitation via their registered email.
