Pretty compelling case for Nole to be billed as the GOAT. I'm a Nadal fan and in my mind he's the GOAT for all that he's achieved despite being the middle wheel between Federer and Djokovic, having battled both of them for Championships at the very peak of their games. Having said all that, I for one, love Novak Djokovic. He is absolutely the best shotmaker in tennis at the moment (and probably in history). Period.
But. And as any true tennis fan would (or should) agree, what makes tennis great is the GOAT rivalry between the triumvirate of Fed-Rafa-Nole, in that the rivalry is the greatest, of all time. In the end, no matter who heads the Grand Slam Leaderboard, these three have defined the greatest era in the annals of tennis history, amassing 41 GS titles between them and more (not to forget ATP titles).
I know it's not an easy ask, but the tennis world must stop mulling over which player ranks over the other two. Let's save that for a few years later, after the last of these three has played his final match.
Cut the comparisons. And shower them with praise. They deserve hagiographies, not endless scrutiny.
