I Won’t Regale You With How Adopting a Dog Will Improve the Quality of Your Life

Don’t adopt a dog unless you want a forever buddy who will always be there for you and make you smile.

Don’t adopt a dog because he will run to the kitchen every time you open a package of cheese and make you smile.

Don’t adopt a dog because he will wag his tail at the door when you say the word “walk.”

Don’t adopt a dog because he will pull on the leash towards the street that leads to the other coffee shop that is further away so he can get a longer walk with you.

Don’t adopt a dog because you will be walking him every day in all types of weather. He needs the walk and you will lose weight.

Don’t adopt a dog because when you pick him up from your friend’s house after your trip he will get up on his greyhound hind legs with his face in front of yours and give you a big wet kiss on the lips.

Don’t adopt a dog because he will jump on your bed in the morning and strategically land on top of your foot and pin you under a furry heater.

Don’t adopt a dog because he will pop his head out of the passenger window of your car, with the wind flapping back his cheeks to reveal a goofy smile that will make the other drivers laugh.

Mostly, don’t adopt a dog because when you attach his leash to go out he will stand up and stretch his legs in front of him and bow his head to you and his big soft eyes will say “thank you.”
