National Museum
It was my first time going to the National Museum and I was very curious of what type and kinds of arts were there. I wonder if our arts are the same with other countries’ arts or is there any resemblance of similarity between different cultures when they do art.

As I enter the Museum with my friends, I was really shocked because it was really beautiful and I think I felt the aesthetic feeling that my prof was talking about in our course. I was also amazed with the gigantic arts and with the tiny arts. While we were walking inside the museum, I really take a good look on these arts and think of the possible meaning or hidden reasons why they consider such art. Furthermore, Most of the art works were amazing especially those that are made of pastel, although I am not sure of what it really is.

The photos/arts that struct me the most were the beautiful ladies which were seated and standing. I really find it beautiful to look at because I have no idea of what traditional Filipinas look like and I appreciate it more that modern beauty. And I also remembered what sir. told us about the different symbols that can be seen in painting such as fan, feather and napkin or handkerchief.

Lastly, I just like to share you my experience with the security guard in the museum. I do not mean to hurt anybody but it really disappoints me that some of the security guards were rude and these security guards have a lot of side comment like, there was this student that touched one art work and the lady guard said, “DO NOT TOUCH NGA PO E! DO NOT TOUCH!” she was like shouting and I think that was too much that the student was embarrassed. I really don’t think that saying in a mannered way that “Please do not touch the art work” she was already shouting. And the last thing that made me mad was that she was shouting “ANG SARAP PA NG HAWAK MO E” I mean, was that side comment necessary in telling a person not to touch something. I find it very unprofessional and rude. However, maybe.. there were reasons why she was like that and I wouldn’t know, I was just sharing our experiences with them.
