My name is Annette Sunday. My mother calls me Sunday, my friends call me Annette. Well, I am 20 years old. And I am a Kenyan residing in Nairobi, Kenya. I am a simple, independent, ambitious and reliable young woman. I know what I want from life and try to live each day with all positivity. I love to be true to myself and accept things with a positive attitude because only then will I be able to succeed in life and achieve my ambitions.

I am passionate about traveling the world, trying out new adventures, diversity in Technology and good books. Additionally, I am passionate about good music. I started singing when I was young. I have recorded a lot of stuff but I haven’t had the confidence to release any of the materials. Just because it is not my main vocation, I sing whenever I can and it’s always fun.

I’m a people person. I really enjoy meeting and working with a lot of different people, and I’m known to be a great listener and clear communicator and I don’t discriminate along age or gender lines. I’m an extremely organized person who is focused on producing results. While I am always realistic when setting goals, I consistently develop ways to efficiently achieve, and often exceed, those goals. I enjoy solving problems, troubleshooting issues, and coming up with solutions in a timely manner. I thrive well in teams, and I think my ability to effectively communicate with others is what drives me toward solving problems.

Did I mention that I love to smile? I do. A lot! In fact, questions I get most of the time – “How are you always happy all the time?”, “How do you keep your spirits high all the time?”.The truth is that I’M NOT. I’ve felt and struggled through lots of sadness, insecurity and even heartbreaks. Nothing too big for me to say I have been through so much but enough for me to say I have tasted both the sweets and sours of life. But that’s life. You have to fall to rise up. And my smile and the fact that it stays on for the most part, is just a tribute to the sweet times and a mockery to the difficult ones.

I am my own biggest fan, and I have learnt to motivate myself all through the years. I am becoming happier and happier each day in my black skin, and my achievements. In all the occasions, I don’t compare myself with anyone unless I want to use them as a constant inspiration so that I get better.

I have no issue letting people know that I am a feminist. And I cannot in my own heart accept a culture that allows for violence and discrimination against girls. Yes. :-)
