I’d think at almost any job how personable you are has an impact on your reviews, whether it’s an explicit policy or not — I think of being friendly as a job requirement of most customer-facing and office positions. The only jobs I can think of where it’s not very expected are those where you have very little choice to go to someone more personable or they have specialized enough skills that people will tolerate prickliness — doctors, tech people, mechanics…
