The Vox article (and pictures!) are great.

I read it as, if not a _good_ problem, a problem that can be addressed by people sharing division of childrearing within their relationships, rather than an institutional problem.

I’m reluctant to say more flexible schedules are a solution as it sounds like a way to further blur work and non-work time. Rigid schedules are better for protecting work-life balance.
