- It’s NOT Goa, it’s zuarinagar, very far away from real goa
- Strict DisCo policies on smoking, alcohol, semester back for Sarthak Pal
- Bad leave policies and day passes need to be issued if you want to go out of campus before 5pm and does not get issued easily
- Transport is an issue, cab drivers loot
- Homogenous crowd from Mumbai, Gujarat, South India
- Shitty professors, bad marking scheme, bad grading
- Lack of interest or determination in students
- High fees with hikes every year, not worth paying so much
- Bad internet
- Lack of influential seniors
- Departments and clubs are major waste of time and only satisfy the ego of seniors
- No attendance is a myth
- Bad gender ratio
- Food sucks, nothing substantial to eat when mess is not open or mess food is not good
- First year studies is compulsory and a complete waste of time
- Placements are mostly in non-core and consultancy jobs, hardly any good core placements from campus
- It’s not a college, more like a day boarding school with 10:30pm in-time
- People don’t have any real world exposure and skills, they are only focused on getting a good CGPA which will land them a non-core job or MBA opportunity
- No beach around, nearest beach costs 500 to go to and is not a proper beach
- We have to pay 70,000 rupees for PS which is not worth it, whereas in other colleges people intern in their 2nd and 3rd year, and that too paid internships
- Most people’s dream is to crack GSoC, and it is overvalued
- No swimming pool and lack of sports infrastructure for all — Yes, there is a football and cricket ground, but it is not functional in sem 1
- DON’T leave decent IIT seat (rank < 3k) for BITS Goa, you will regret it
- No good shopping place/supermarket/departmental store, borkars is closed half the time and has limited supply
- Fests are over-hyped
- 65% kids are only eligible for dual degree in pilani, so average intelligence amongst people is low
Neither Pilani, nor Goa
