I Never Wanted to be Married Because I Just Wanted to be Married

The title sounds like me — I was always hoping I would find the man I’d love to spend the rest of my life but never wanted a party or family involved. In Switzerland we don’t give huge engagement rocks or no rings at all — at least this was no burden.

Now I am married to a wonderful man with a cheap ring (stainless steel one) and 7 people who went to McDonalds afterwards in their everyday clothes — perfect and I couldn’t be happier.

The wedding dress I bought many years ago still hangs in my cellar unused and never will be.
