There are no silly secrets — names are important.

Anuschka is the Slavic pet name for Anna (like Sascha for Alexander or Petruschka for Peter) — Anna is the mother of Holy Mary (hebrew Hannah), I always joke about being Jesus’ Grandma — the meaning of the name is wonderful:

Grace, Favour

I got this name cause my Mom is a huge fan of author Heinz G. Konsalik, he wrote a lot of cold war stories and she found the name in one of them.

I honestly don’t know why people in India call their daughters Anuschka. I just tried to google about it and found out Anna in South India means brother and many people are called this out of respect. And of course some of us here in Switzerland know Anuschka Shankar :-D
