Pre-announcing product changes is usually a REALLY bad idea.

Really like your response but what i sense from it is complacency. The same old excuses that companies like to follow to justify not changing. Instead of assuming what might happen, it would be more interesting to see someone actually try this and prove it wrong instead of assuming. You’re basically saying let’s ignore the people who use are product and just take the the response of a few and think that is what all your users want.
Now i’m not a business person but the reason startups were so successful was because they took chances, chances most wouldn’t make. Now my solution may not be the exact answer but sticking to what everyone else does is not.
