I continue to be astonished at the faith society puts in technology, especially when releasing things into a system as complex as our global ecology. All these things we think have no consequences, and only much later do we realize they do. Technology has been great in some ways, and in others has created disasters. It seem to me that the level and scale we are dealing with here, we are playing with the whole planet for the benefit of remarkably few. I mean, what if all the untested positive assumptions regarding GMOs turn out to be wrong? What is the road back?
