US Destabilization Policy Toward The Middle East

Back in September 2015 when Russia first pledged military support of Bashar Al-Assad and pro-Damascus forces, US president Barrack Obama dismissed it stating the intervention would “get stuck in a quagmire and won’t work”, it has almost been a year since then and Russia’s progress in the fight for united, independent Syria goes on, and goes stronger by the day. The well-oiled gears of the Russian war machine have not only gradually pulled Syrian government forces from the brink of total collapse, dusted them up and rejuvenated the campaign against the “moderates” (we’ll get back to them in a minute), it has emboldened the Assad’s forces to a point of becoming the one truly major power involved in the conflict. Russian with some minor loses and martyrs of its own carried SAA to the gates of Aleppo, and there is no way it’ll be turning back now.

The battle for Aleppo the one remaining “rebel” stronghold, no matter how it may turn out is bound to become a pivotal point in the civil the ripping the country since 2011, and also decide power struggle between the two Leviathan countries mixed into the “quagmire”, because, let’s face the “Coalition” is an umbrella term for “with or supporting US interests”, ‘the global force for good’ so far has only been “good” at bringing more bombs to a country that has more potassium chloride than it has flour.

Russia at least is not declaring itself the paragon of humanity and good will, it chose a side and chose to keeps its loyalty. Why it decided to interfere is another question entirely, but probably because the World Police needs an occasional reality check, the US military-industrial complex won’t run out weapons to sell, but “extended war on ISIS” draining blood in Syria, Libya, Iraq God knows where next cannot go on forever, let’s for the sake of all lives and lights still not expired in the Middle East hope it grinds to a halt now.

NATO media has acknowledged US-supported An-Nusra as the most powerful group fighting the Syrian State besides ISIS, matter of fact US seems to support every military group willing to impede the progress of joint Syrian/Russian forces, be it the child-beheading Al-Zinki or the openly terrorist An-Nusra, the American Anti-ISIS narrative just doesn’t hold up in the face of the facts on the ground, the only real narrative is war for its own sake and instability for control, a series of elbow jerk actions by a machine of perpetual war, seeing maybe for the first time in over two decades a force willing to stand in its way. Again, maybe it is about time to stop.

Russian-Syrian forces have held siege of Aleppo for a week before it was broken in a massive offense by the “moderates”, but the battle is far from over. From a trusted source we’ve been informed that Russia is preparing for a second round (since Nov. 2015) of massive strikes on US-backed Islamist terrorists in Aleppo with devastating Kalibr NK cruise missiles. Indeed the battle has only just begun.
