Think of the country as an old rusty truck. It still runs, but it needs more than just an oil change. The tires are bald and have dry rot, the breaks are worn, the entire engine needs a rebuild. If you love that old rusty truck, do you slap a “status quo” bumper sticker on and call it a paint job, or do you roll up your sleeves, and do the necessary repairs? I like my truck. I’d “vote” to repair it, but the “mechanics” keep slapping on “status quo” bumper stickers and telling me its raining as they piss on my leg.
