Quick Opinion : Pegz & RarePepe NFT

Matt Furie is known to be the creator of Pepe the Frog, maybe the most famous internet meme. He created two NFT art series, RarePepe & Pegz, both very limited collections with 12 and 103 pieces. Matt already has a website on which is listed his art (pretty cool), his merch coming from the film “feels good man” (instagram) -retracing the story of the internet meme-, he has 53 patreons (198$ month), and two books called Mindviscosity and The Night Riders which are sold out.

NFTs :

Frank Musarra, a digital artist and Matt Furie’s cousin, has created Chain/Saw a digital gallery under which 70 artists compose. Matt has partnered with him for its collection. Apart from having Matt, it feels like ChainSaw doesn’t have a lot of visibility. Its discord feels really quiet with only 200 valid members. It has been up since avril but it is staying quiet lately, a lot of people talking decently and some regular active members.

The PEGZ were released in auctions, ten by ten every week or so.
The RarePepe channel on discord is even more quiet.

Overall no major interesting marketing stuff here apart from the awesome web design. The main reason this NFT collection has got that many buyers is because Pepe the Frog is internet history .
