M, Thank you for your encouraging words. It’s so heartwarming to know there are men and fathers out there who are supportive of women pursuing their career goals while raising a family. You rightfully point out one of the fundamental problems of our society and gender equality movements. In fact there are many initiatives that aim at promoting a 50–50 society but unfortunately these very initiatives exclude men from the conversations and portray women as the victims. Until we come up with a holistic and constructive approach, we won’t be able to solve the problem. While I understand this issue is much bigger than me, my hope was to write about my experience (which is the same as many of my accomplished friends), so other women read it and realize that they are not alone. If your wife read it and could relate, then I have already accomplished my goal. Thank You!
