ISRO Launch Vehicles [Infographic]
The 100th mission of ISRO was successfully launched in 2012. The first flight correction man oeuvre is a significant achievement to the country and the organization that has completed more than 50 years of existence.
Though ISRO began very humble, it was on India’s Independence day in 1969. The initial programmes were launched from a cow shed by the father of Indian space program, Dr. Vikram Sarabhai. The very first launch vehicle, Aryabhatta was launched with a little aid from a Russian rocket.
It is also responsible for crafting the first large scale launch of remote sensing satellite, that is currently responsible for remote sensing television broadcast. And FYI, today, India has the largest fleet of remote sensing satellites in the world. Courtesy, ISRO!
