Arbitrum Product Launch
An Introduction to Arbitrum on Arable Protocol
With the continuous growth of Arable and Acrechain, the announcement of its integration with the Arbitrum network is an exciting development for the platform and the community. In this article, we will explore the launch of $ACRE and $arUSD on the Arbitrum network, outlining the benefits of this integration and what users can expect from this exciting development.
What is Arbitrum?
Arbitrum is a layer 2 scaling solution for Ethereum that allows for faster and cheaper transactions on the network. It is a sidechain that operates independently but is connected to the Ethereum network, allowing users to take advantage of the benefits of the Ethereum ecosystem without being limited by its high fees and slow transaction times. Arbitrum uses Optimistic Rollups, a technology that allows it to bundle many transactions into a single batch, thereby increasing transaction speed and reducing gas fees. This makes it an attractive option for decentralized applications (dApps) and developers looking to build on Ethereum while avoiding the network’s limitations.
How Arbitrum Integration Benefits Acrechain
The integration paves the way for the listing of other tokens, including $ARB, on the Arable platform, creating even more DeFi opportunities for users on both chains.
One of these opportunities is through providing assets as collateral. Users can deposit stable assets and more volatile assets with different collateral ratios on the Arable platform. The collateral ratio is 120% for depositing stable assets whereas it is 160% for the more volatile assets. This provides flexibility for users to manage their assets and risks. You can check the list of the assets with their respective cRatio here.
Furthermore, the integration has opened up more opportunities for the use case of $ACRE. For instance, SolidLizard Finance, a permissionless DEX on Arbitrum, has recently listed $ACRE and opened three pools with $SLIZ emission. This means that users can now trade $ACRE on SolidLizard Finance, which further enhances its liquidity and adoption.
Another would be with Sperax.io, where a pool for arUSD/USD was created on their Demeter Protocol. Check out the article below to read more details about these integrations.
