I don’t agree with the view that Google is purely engineering-led at its core, as well as I don’t agree with the view that Apple is purely design-led at its core. I think that’s where they both come from, but they’ve evolved a lot and, i.e., I think that Apple is now more concerned on visual aesthetics and doing “nice” designs, rather than being really design-led, understanding design as a problem-solving method.
