I’ve heard good things about Jon Duckett’s books for web dev. One of my coworkers has then stacked in the corner of her cubicle for reference.

The other thing that might help is to pick a project you’re interested in, and break it down yourself into the various pieces you need to learn. Whenever I learn a new language or framework, I make a to do list manager because…I really like to do lists? But it helps solidify how to do a lot of different things.

(And it’s not bugging, it’s natural and good to have lots of questions when learning something. :P )
