How To Experience Boredom (while using an iPhone & an Apple Watch)

The key to getting bored is to not carry your phone with you. What distracts us is the constant notifications interrupting whatever we are doing. You could buy a “dumb phone”, but then you’ll miss out on Uber, Google Maps, Whatsapp etc.

  1. Turn off all notifications on your Apple Watch except for phone calls.
  2. Install only the necessary apps on your Apple Watch — Uber, GMaps, Apple Music.
  3. Don’t carry your iPhone with you.. If you are out, leave it at home. If you are home, keep it in another room. Check your favourite apps and your messages on your phone only at pre-set times every day. Bonus levels reached when you start using your iPhone like a landline.
  4. When you are out, you can answer incoming calls and talk via your Apple Watch (Use AirPods).
  5. Get bored.
