First, lets look at the Constitution, something law makers seem to forget to do all the time these days. The Constitution does NOT allow the current “estate tax” to exist at all. Therefore, I’m against it. And anyone with “common sense” SHOULD be against it. It’s BAD for America. Personally, the way it’s bad for my family, is it does not allow me to pass my property to my kids the way I would like. I worked for what I have all my life. Why should the Federal Government have the right to come along and take HALF of what I have built my entire life?? That’s not right. They didn’t work for it, they don’t deserve it.
IF they truly wanted to “fix” the tax code, they would END the “income tax” (which is also against the original Constitution) anyway. Since Obama has put us in more debt than all Presidents combined, we will still need an illegal tax for a little while. I would recommend we install a TEMPORARY “End user sales tax” of 1%. This does several things:
- It gives the Federal Government MORE funds than it has EVER had in the past.
- It rewards people that save money
- It rewards businesses, especially those that deal in raw materials since they would never have any taxes.
- Income to the Federal Government would be monthly instead of seasonal
- It’s “tax code” would be extremely simple, and very small.
- It would eliminate our corrupt IRS all together (the incoming funds could be handled by our people in Ft Knox) Which also means…
- This would END THE FEDERAL RESERVE as well. (Who knows how much corruption we have there).
- With the elimination of both the IRS and the Federal Reserve, the Federal Government would save BILLIONS in salaries and pensions alone.
- It would be a massive step toward taking the corruption OUT of our Government.
