The team at ArtPro Platform are delighted to announce the upcoming launch of their crowd-sale following a license being granted by Estonia’s Financial Intelligence Unit (FIU) in July 2019. This is a significant milestone for the project, which aims to deliver transparency to the online art market using blockchain technology, as well as providing a safe environment for buyers and sellers. The Estonian license is the first step in ensuring full regulatory compliance.

The IEO begins on 25th July 2019 with listings on both LA Token and ExMarkets.

Why Estonia?
Estonia is one of the first nations to embrace blockchain technology. With evidence of blockchain usage as far back as 2008, the country has implemented it into its national digital identification system. By 2012, blockchain had been adopted across various sectors in Estonia, including security, legislature, judiciary and health.

Estonia was possibly the most impoverished country in the Eurozone at the time that it was added to the EU in 2011. However, within a short span of seven years, Estonia has seen economic growth and it has also become a haven for cryptocurrencies and tech start-ups. Estonian regulators are incredibly helpful and cooperative, which is undoubtedly a plus for startups when navigating what can often be seen as a digital mine field.

Being awarded regulatory approval was always one of the key milestones in our Whitepaper, thus meaning we now stand apart from many of our competitors in the sector, allowing contributors, both private and institutional, to utilise the benefits of APT from within a secured and regulated environment.
