Last week, ArtéQuesta announced its new software for art collectors, the Art Portfolio Management System. This project has been a vision of mine for quite some time.

The idea came about because at ArtéQuesta, our personal passion is locating and rescuing Jewish and Israeli art. In almost all cases identifying and recovering artwork, proving authenticity and ownership becomes most difficult and often the families cannot be helped. With this issue at the forefronts of our minds, the Portfolio Management System was designed and built with provenance and verification prioritized.

From a collector’s standpoint, our software offers simplicity for managing a collection. This software allows our clients to establish a portfolio with us and track the performance of their art, similar to other financial assets. It’s also available to users world-wide for a simple way to manage ones art collection, for the collector, investor and now for artists. Everything is managed in one place, easy to upload and navigate, and easy to access for any device.

You can upload your artworks and its various details, store digital copies of Certificate of Authenticity’s, track current market value and update values annually, and track sales and performance of artworks. Another great feature is that all the data of your collection, whether for investment, enjoyment, or an artist’s works, can be easily accessed and used to manage for financial needs, documenting legacy giving and heirlooms, and for inventory management.

You no longer need to spend large sums of money to make a good art investment. The middle market is available to all types of buyers today, who can begin an art collection at affordable prices. While providing the ease of accessing ones collection digitally, we decided to also offer this service at an affordable price.

As we continue to use our software, our future plans include offering an extra layer of tracking certificates of authenticity and ownership on Bitcoin’s Blockchain. There is unlimited potential for the art and investment worlds to utilize additional security to art purchases managed in the Art Portfolio Management System.
