Govert Flinck stolen masterpiece from a $500 million art heist.
The painting was stolen from Boston’s Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum in 1990.
At the notorious night, the thieves were disguised as policemen, broke into the museum, tied up a guard, and stole 13 paintings off the walls.
The heist remains unsolved until today.
Artsproof is working hard to find the lost masterpieces from this heist.
In order to win the fight against art crimes, we are soon launching a new system and an easy-to-use database of stolen and lost art to help art galleries, auction houses, art dealers and museums to find out whether they are trading in stolen art and to stop the illicit trade in stolen art.
Stay tuned.
