A Simple Prayer

The entire premise of being a saved-Christian is knowing that we have fallen short in life, are perfectly capable of sin and that we desperately need Christ everyday. Paul commanded Christians to “pray without ceasing”; whereas we must rely on Jesus in the conscience and subconsciousness.

I hope this simple prayer heals you and helps you throughout your day as it has me.

“Gracious and heavenly Father, I come before you today to honor you and to dedicate my life to you. As I honor your Word, I remember your Great Commission and your special call to all of us to spread your message of love.
I ask you Father to guide me as a shepherd does his flock. Anoint my words so that I might provide a light and protection for the weak and innocent as well as for those who need encouragement. Lord I humbly ask you to uplift:
Those without hope, who are oppressed.
Those who are depressed, who are lost without a purpose in this life.
Those who are jailed and imprisoned, that society has long forgotten.
Those who are struggling financially and spiritually.
Those who are in desperate need of physical and mental renewal, a complete and total healing.
I call on you Lord for a healing of our broken nation, as we seek spiritual unity.
I ask you Father for the strength and power to help those who seek mercy from trouble.
I especially ask you Father to forgive of us our sins and transgressions for we know we are sinners and cannot make it without you.
I thank you Father for all you have done for me in this life and what I know awaits me in the next.
I pray these things in the precious name of Jesus, our risen Lord and Savior.
Amen.
