Proposed model of Ram Janmbhoomi Mandir in Ayodhya

Shri Ram Janmbhoomi Teerth Kshetra is a trust established for the construction and management of Ram Mandir in Ayodhya, Uttar Pradesh.

As soon as the time of Bhoomi Poojan of Ram Mandir on 05/08/2020 came, devotees all over India & the world showed their eagerness to donate for the construction of Ram Mandir.

Shri Ram Janmbhoomi Teerth Kshetra has its own official Twitter account. They shared the details of their bank account, and their authentic UPI ID on their official Twitter account on 12 August 2020.

What is a UPI ID?

UPI stands for Unified Payments Interface. UPI ID is an alternative method of doing online financial transactions. Traditionally, also in other methods, users need to fill details like bank account number, IFSC code, bank branch name and address while transferring money from one account to another. But, when the users carry out a transaction with UPI ID, they do not need to fill any of those details to send or receive financial amount. UPI is also called Virtual Payment Address (VPA).

Meanwhile, many fraudsters created a number of fake UPI IDs pretending to be Shri Ram Janmbhoomi Teerth Kshetra’s UPI ID to trap people. Fraud UPI IDs are being misused to loot people and play with their religious sentiments.

I had suspected that cyber frauds like this might happen. Therefore, I started busting them. I have busted 5 fraud UPI IDs which are very similar to the authentic UPI ID of Shri Ram Janmbhoomi Teerth Kshetra.

Details of 5 fraud UPI IDs :

  1. shriramjanambhomi@sbi
Fraud UPI ID

2. sriramjanambhoomi@sbi

Fraud UPI ID

3. shriramjanambhumi@sbi

4. sriramjanmbhoomi@sbi

5. sriramjanmbhumi@sbi

Fraud UPI ID

Because the authentic UPI ID of Shri Ram Janmbhoomi Teerth Kshetra is in State Bank of India (SBI), the fraudsters were also careful enough to create their fake UPI IDs in SBI.

I also want to tell you that I have sent all these details to State Bank of India (SBI) on Twitter, and they have acknowledged it to take further action.

Conversation with State Bank of India regarding fraud UPI IDs

On the night of 24th August at 1:43 AM, I sent the information of 5 fraud UPI IDs to the Twitter account of SBI via direct message. Then, in the morning of 24th August at 10:35 AM, I tweeted to SBI to check my message.

SBI replied on my tweet at 12:44 PM and replied to my message at 2:15 PM on the same day. I hope that SBI takes action soon.

It is very important for you to understand that fake and misleading UPI IDs can also be created. Don’t transact with a UPI ID blindly. It can be in the name of any organization, company or an individual. Do check the authenticity of the UPI ID before doing any transaction.
