Um, how do you come up with $22T?

Are you counting Social Security? And Medicare? If so, one MUST look solely at the poverty rate for seniors, which has gone from 28.5 to 9.1.

ALSO: no one thinks of social security or medicare as ‘welfare’. Everyone thinks that they paid for it with their taxes. They’re all partly right.

Back out SS and Medicare, define that you’re talking in 2015 (or whatever) dollars, rather than nominal, and get back to us on that one.

And, sure, it’s time to try something else — what’s your proposal? Deportation, or execution? cuz just cutting everyone off isn’t a real proposal.
