Augur Weekly Development Update — July 4th

With less than five days to the mainnet deployment, the team is finalizing testing to make sure the user experience is as seamless as possible for the v1.0 release. There will be blog posts coming out on Monday regarding deployment and the automatic REP migration.

If you have REP in the Ether/ForkDelta or IDEX exchange contracts — you must withdrawal it prior to the migration on Monday, July 9th at 11:01AM PT to successfully receive new REP in the migration. Please help us get the word out as we approach deployment day.

If you do not have REP in the Ether/ForkDelta or IDEX exchange contracts, there is nothing you need to do with your REP.

Please reach out if you believe there are other production dApps where REP is deposited in a deployed smart contract that we may be missing, like Ether/ForkDelta and IDEX (the two primary ones).

We continue to encourage the community to test our UI on dev.augur.net and submit feedback within our Discord channel. User findings are especially important as we near launch day.

As we approach deployment, we are continuing to take security of the Augur smart contracts extremely seriously and have raised the bounty for the finding of any critical vulnerabilities to $200,000 USD on Hackerone. Follow the link below for more details.

Speaking of bounties, our very own Tom Kysar recently spoke with Gitcoin about the success Augur has found on the platform in crowdsourcing feature implementations, security issues, and general tasks. A big shoutout to @Cryptomental whose work on securing our smart contracts is featured in the post.

We are continuing to develop a number of resources including how-to’s on market creation, trading, reporting, and disputing; as well as frequently asked questions about the platform. Look out for those soon.

We’re very excited to be in the home stretch of mainnet deployment, and want to thank the community for all of their support in this endeavor.

A reminder to all Ether/ForkDelta and IDEX users — withdraw your REP from the exchange contract prior to July 9th @ 11:01AM PT in order to successfully receive new REP tokens in the migration.

If you do not have REP in one of these decentralized exchanges — there is nothing you need to do for deployment and the migration.

Come chat with us in Discord and follow our Twitter for the latest updates. Track our development progress on Github or in the #dev channel of Discord.

The bounty program is rolling and accepting all submissions. Test out the UI at dev.augur.net on Rinkeby, take a look at our Github, and let us know your feedback!

Cheers,

The Augur Team
